Pay: Based on Experience

Hours Per Week: 7:00am to 4:00pm, M-F (40+ hours)

Bigger Glass Company is looking to hire a Lead Glazier to join our Residential team!  Pay will be based upon experience.  Competitive benefits package will be offered after a 90-day probationary period.  Valid SC Driver’s License and your own reliable transportation to and from the shop are required. Key Responsibilities and Required Skillsets Include:

• Follow and promote safe work practices in accordance with OSHA
• Ensure installation meets each customer’s satisfaction and is in line with Bigger Glass Company’s quality standards
• Ensure that you have all tools and equipment necessary to complete each project before arrival
• Measure jobs including shower doors, residential/commercial IG’s, mirrors, and tabletops
• Identify materials required for projects on the schedule for each day, whether they are City Service/Residential or Commercial projects
• Assess daily schedule every morning and disperse crews appropriately between each job
• Pull glass, check sizes and other stock from the shop, and examine it for defects prior to installation to verify you have all necessary materials and/or equipment for the job
• Walk around the truck prior to every departure to make sure everything is tied off properly
• Ability to call customers and confirm scheduled appointment times no less than 30 minutes prior to arrival
• Install shower doors (framed, frameless), patio doors, mirrors, single pane replacements (cut onsite), IG replacements
• Cut glass (plate, laminated, mirrors)
• Install light commercial storefront (including closers, sweeps, thresholds, panics, pivots, roton hinges)
• Caulk (Shower Doors, Storefronts)
• Ability to lift and carry items/glass up to 100 lbs.
• Flexibility to work late if a job carries on longer than expected
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Lead Glazier or comparable role required
